Greetings from the SCCAABE President!
My name is Tramaine Foster and I currently work as an accountant in the Plant Accounting department for Dominion Energy. I am a native of Columbia, South Carolina and a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Liberty University. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 2009 from the University of South Carolina and earned a Master of Science in accounting, with a specialization in taxation, in 2019 from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, serving at church (singing and finance), and karaoke.
My first interaction with the AABE organization was in 2008 as student intern for then SCANA Corporation where I attended a regional seminar that was taking place at Palmetto Center in Columbia. I gained a wealth of knowledge at that seminar and became more interested in the organization, in the energy industry, and I was happy to engage with a network of black energy professionals.
I joined the AABE organization because I believed in the mission, saw the impact it was making in policy and in the community, and I saw that there were plenty of professional development opportunities. Over the years, AABE has helped me grow professionally and personally, and I’ve made connections locally and nationally. I’m grateful and I’m proud to serve and be a member. Others should join if they’re looking for that too.
